Hi I am Ashwin Saxena ,
I’m a Graduate student studying Computer Vision and Robotics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My technical skills include proficiency in C++, Java and Python, as well as knowledge of DevOps, Agile, and ROS. Over the course of my education, I have developed an affinity for robotics, computer vision, machine learning, and the limitless possibilities in that field. I am currently seeking a full time software engineering position in a similar field.
This summer I worked at Amazon.com as a Software Development Engineering Intern in the AWS Sagemaker team, where I was responsible for developing a query engine in the form of a command line interface tool which queries and displays information about AWS region builds and helps in the automation process. During the academic year I’m the President for Autonomous Robotics Vehicles project team, where we build an autonomous robot to compete, and an elected senator of the Engineering Student Government. In my free time I enjoy baking, watching movies, and working out.

Created a streamlined 1-click Backfill tool utilizing Java and AWS technologies like Lambda and CloudWatch to seamlessly migrate events from S3 to SQS, enhancing GDPR compliance and safeguarding customer data.Developed a Python-based CLI for initiating the backfill process, contributing to a user-friendly experience and efficient data transfer.Played a pivotal role in optimizing data integrity and reducing engineering effort by 3-5 days during outages or integration of new services into the MLOps pipeline through the innovative Backfill tool.
Engineered a Python-based CLI query engine to accelerate AWS region build times by over 5%, leveraging Pandas, Numpy, Jupyter, and Graphviz libraries for enhanced data visualization and formatting.Optimized CLI performance for product managers by implementing multithreading, resulting in a 500% reduction in query time and improved efficiency.
Developed back-end web applications in Java and REST services employing DevOps practices and collaborated in an Agile team using the SCRUM frameworkUtilized the Elastic (ELK) stack to enable event-driven system logging and wrote unit tests and automation scriptsHandled enterprise data using SQL in IBM DB2 under the Master Data Management discipline to provide a more holistic view of the various databases
Designed and constructed autonomous model cars using supervised machine learning and Keras API, enabling cars to drive on a painted track with no human input with a 98% accuracyAnalyzed different sensors and incorporated them into neural networks to make a more stable autonomous car that could avoid objects
